Nollywood to sign world’s tallest valentine card



In order to beat the world record for the world’s tallest valentine card, Strands say that they already have a contending card. This card which will be over 5 story building tall is also expected to be signed by celebrities and 20,000 people. already some Nollywood actors have pledged to be at Unilag where the card will be displayed to sign the card.
According to Alafia Gbadebo, Strand’s CEO, the card signing is not just about record breaking but also about sharing love with those that need it most in the society. “After the cards are signed by celebrities and 20,000 people, we will be giving it out to  societies that take care of rape victims. The card will be up for ten days, from 11th of this month to 20th.”
The card display and card signing is a part the eighth edition of BonMarche FAIRstival, also known as the student’s trade fair. “This is like the valentine edition of the fair which has been going on for eight years now vendors will have on display their amazing fashion pieces at their best deals. We want to make sure that there is a lot of discounts and love and for people to mingle and network and also get chance to win freebies,” Alafia said.


There will also be surprise appearances by Nollywood actors who will be signing the card. Some of them have expressed their excitement over the card. Actor, Joseph Benjamin describes the attempt as daring and pledges support for the idea behind the signings. “This is a first in Nigeria, and I am happy it is happening. I and my colleagues will surely show our love for the rape victims. I will not tell you the day I will be coming, so you need to be at the fair everyday to catch me.
