Facts have begun to emerge regarding the real story behind Wizkid and Banky is fallout. The reason is connected with the rising sensational singer being made a cash cow for the EME label. An Insider opened up to Entertainment Rendezvous that Wizzy (his nickname) is at war with Banky W and EME because he wants a contract review which Banky W has refused to grant him.
 The source pointed out that since Ayodeji Balogun known as Wizkid signed with EME, he has been getting just 25% from whatever he gets paid to perform at an event with Banky W. Empire Mate Entertainment EME is owned by Banky W and Segun Demuren… Osagie, Wizzy’s ex-manager who introduced him to Banky after big record labels like Mo-Hits and Storm records rejected him, also gets 25% each from his hard earned money.

Pastor caught with human head

The police in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, have arrested a fake pastor and his accomplice with fresh human parts.They allegedly concealed the human parts in two bags at the time they were arrested.
 The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, on Monday confirmed the arrest of the pastor and his accomplice.Manko also said that the suspects caught with human parts were arrested on Saturday and currently in detention at the State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.According to him, fingers, heart, liver, kidney and intestines were all concealed in two bags, which were discovered during a stop-and-search operation by policemen from Ikotun Police Divisional Office. Manko disclosed further that two bottles filled with what was suspected
to be human blood, were also recovered from the suspects.
 However, the police boss did not disclose the identities of the suspects.

Boy kills father over his retirement pay


The Cross River State Police Command has arrested a man, identified as Ekemini Bassey for allegedly killing his father, a retired University of Calabar lecturer, Prof. Nathaniel Bassey, to claim his N40m gratuity.
 The police for being an accomplice in the alleged murder also want Ekemini’s brother, Odiong Bassey.
According to PUNCH the duo had been having a running battle with their late father, who was not pleased with their recent negative behaviours.

Tuface Annie to marry in Dubai, March


2face Idibia and his wife, Annie have fixed their wedding date for 23 march 2013 in Dubai,UAE.Afolabi Oyekoya of City People magazine reported that the event is being planned by Annie's friends and 2face's management company Now Muzik.
   Sources disclosed that a few friends and family members are to be flown to Dubai for the wedding and 2face has booked over 100 rooms in about
3 hotels in Dubai for his guests.Meanwhile the couple shall be staying at Burj'Arab with a couple of friends and collegues that afford the bill.

Thisday boss to float TV station


After two days of test broadcasting, a 24-hour international TV news operation, ARISE NEWS, set to rival existing giants in the global market was launched, yesterday and would be broadcasting from its main News Centres in London, New York, Johannesburg and Lagos.
ARISE NEWS, will have a strong African footprint and serve underserved communities in the USA and other parts of the world, supported by a further eight bureaux around the globe stretching from Beijing to Rio de Janeiro.
A sister channel, ARISE 360, which will be entertainments-based with fashion, music, sport and pay per view films, will start broadcasting toward the end of this year.
The ‘arrival’ of the network was announced by company executives in London and New York.
Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of ARISE NEWS and ARISE 360 is Nduka Obaigbena, owner and publisher of the fashion and culture magazine, ARISE, and the publisher of several other titles including one of Nigeria’s daily newspapers, THISDAY.

Nollywood to sign world’s tallest valentine card



In order to beat the world record for the world’s tallest valentine card, Strands say that they already have a contending card. This card which will be over 5 story building tall is also expected to be signed by celebrities and 20,000 people. already some Nollywood actors have pledged to be at Unilag where the card will be displayed to sign the card.
According to Alafia Gbadebo, Strand’s CEO, the card signing is not just about record breaking but also about sharing love with those that need it most in the society. “After the cards are signed by celebrities and 20,000 people, we will be giving it out to  societies that take care of rape victims. The card will be up for ten days, from 11th of this month to 20th.”
The card display and card signing is a part the eighth edition of BonMarche FAIRstival, also known as the student’s trade fair. “This is like the valentine edition of the fair which has been going on for eight years now vendors will have on display their amazing fashion pieces at their best deals. We want to make sure that there is a lot of discounts and love and for people to mingle and network and also get chance to win freebies,” Alafia said.
