Comedian Sheddi Baba runs mad

We got this from Hazeez Balogun's Blog. My concern about the comedian who is a very good friend of mine started when I saw his Facebook profile which read that he was dead. It was written in second person, so I took it very seriously. I know that as a comedian, he may be trying to play a very expensive joke. But I still thought death was too much to joke about. I decided to call his phone which he did not pick. I left him a message asking why his fb page said he was dead. I was expecting a funny reply like, "Got you"!!! or something like that. But the response I got got me more worried. He sent to me, "Hazeez M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ Brother! They can only kill d flesh but not d spirit." I did not even know how to respond to that. I have been trying to reach him since then but he wont respond.
Just today, his brother left this message
"I will like to use dis opportunity to humbly beg and plead to everyone to please ignore all messages pasted by Sheddi Baba. Am the younger brother to Sheddi Baba..I can't really xpose what his going tru right now, but pls put him in prayers and God will bless u..i have read all the message he posted so i have to collect his password and delete all. Thanks and God bless u as u keep praying.!!!"
Now that is scary. I will try and get to his house to know whats going on. meanwhile do pray for him

Fran and Tunde Kuboye’s son, Baba T, launches musical career

Coming from a background steeped in music, it didn’t come as any surprise that Babatunmida Kuboye, the middle child of renowned jazz duo, Tunde and Fran Kuboye (Fran died in 1997), has decided to launch a professional music career. Though Baba, as he prefers to be called by fans and friends, has always been on the periphery of the music industry by virtue of his regular sessions at his parents’ popular Jazz 38 Club with The Extended Family Band, even releasing an album to lukewarm reception years back; the gangling and gregarious London based RF Engineer is now musically and mentally enamoured to give established Nigerian music stars a run for their talent and artistry.
He is coming to the scene with a banging new single titled, Baba De Baba, accompanied with a multi-million naira video shot on location in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. Despite the fact that he only has one single at the moment, Baba is upbeat about his chances of scaling through whatever challenges that he may encounter on his path as a professional musician. He expects people to have same amount of fun he had when he first listened to his latest single and says that his guiding principle is to have fun in whatever he ventures into.
“I have been exposed to some of the good and bad sides of the industry by virtue of my background. I have also had some experience whilst doing my own music. Whilst nothing can ever fully prepare one for the wonderful world of the music industry, I like to think I have a good support system and experience to deal with what comes my way.” Speaking further, he says, “My guiding principle in doing music is that it should always be fun! I had fun making the track. From the composition to the recording in the UK to the video shoot out in Florida, I think that comes across in the song itself. My hope is that people will have the same amount of fun I had whilst they watch and listen to it.”

Next Movie star GM resigns

Just few months after he was employed to take over the running of Sola Fajobi created Next Movie Star(NMS), actor, Sam Uche Anyamele has quit the company as the General Manager. He did not give a concrete reason for leaving but there are talks that there had been some altercations between him and the owner of the reality show franchise.
The actor, who was meant to take over the preparation and organization of the 2013 edition of the Next Movie Star realty show, has since moved on with his acting career and looking forward to a more rewarding career. We hear that he was asked to produce a plan for this year’s NMS but since her was given the position, he was yet to create any solid plan for the popular show.
Friends of Sam explained that he resigned to focus more on his acting career. This reason did not hold much water, since he was aware of his acting career before accepting the job in the first place.  The management of the Next Movie Star we hear are shopping for a replacement for the actor as Sola Fajobi is said to have busied himself with creation of more soap operas in recent time.

Deji Falope bares mind on Goldie

Many do not know that Tv presenter and producer, Deji Falope and late singer Goldie were cousins. He had remained silent since. I think. he decided to have some sort of closure by writing this. We got this piece from his publicist
I just installed MS 2013 on my laptop and I thought, I have not written in years, what the heck, scribble n edit later, if ever.

I have seen a goon number of pieces about Goldie in various media. I was shocked by her passing. More shocked than I expected. Those who know me say I am “unemotional” I think I really just have disciplined control over my thoughts and actions and expressions. However, for the first time in years, I was lost. Lost because didn’t know what to do or think or even how to feel.
I hardly cry, I dispel any emotion that comes close and I suck it up. The last time I cried was shortly after meeting my father who left all 4 kids with my mother for about twenty years, when I finally saw him when I was 3 years old, I wasn’t mad, I wasn’t angry, I was curious, I had one question: Why? I wasn’t sure what specific question I was asking or even what response I expected. Honestly I didn’t even have the courage to ask out loud.
